SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced Thursday that SCHEELS , an all-sports superstore, will serve as the title sponsor of the 2012 SCHEELS GLVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament. The announcement was made Thursday in Springfield, Ill., at the Prairie Capital Convention Center – site of the 2012 tournaments, March 1-4.

INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis junior guard Kristin Turner (Seymour, IN/Seymour) has been tabbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Turner helped lead the Greyhounds to an undefeated week in conference play posting wins against Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis.
